ABOUT THE SAN LUIS VALLEY ENTREPRENEURS NETWORK

Welcome San Luis Valley (SLV) Champions and Fans! The San Luis Valley tourism region focuses on seven Colorado counties: Alamosa, Conejos, Costilla, Huerfano, Mineral, Saguache, and Rio Grande. County where populations range from 720 to just over 16,000. Predominantly agricultural in nature, San Luis Valley is ripe with opportunities for entrepreneurial solutions and investment in business and properties.

WHY?

The purpose of this network is to share ideas and find the means to make dreams a reality. We hope to inspire the people of the San Luis Valley to reclaim and restore beloved community places in their region through community connectivity, cohesive vision, and partnerships to ultimately leverage local and outside investment for local social entrepreneurship. This network aims to connect existing businesses and resources, with startups and dreamers. We hope to link to local, regional, and state and national resources. We will strive to collectively assist each other to grow, inspire a culture of innovation in each other.

TRAINING + MENTORSHIP

Colorado Department of Labor + Employment (CDLE)

Visit this online Lives Empowered resource to help "up skill" or use the skills you have an discovery new paths and options for careers. There is library of services that include training, access to financing, and more. These tools and trainings are diverse and can be accessed from your home or a local place with computer access.


SLV Small Business Development Center (SBDC)

If you have a business or a business idea and would like some hands on counseling with a consultant, training to create a viable business plan, or need access to computers/internet or other types of support, connect with the SLV SBDC to make an appointment or to find a business support center near you.

StartUp Colorado

If you are interested in connecting with people, entrepreneurs, and mentors who are all about starting up innovative business ideas, we are pleased to have an SLV Group on the StartUp Colorado. Please join the conversation SLV Entrepreneur Group and connect, support and build a dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem, share resources and events, ask questions and offer advice.
